Železná Studnička is a recreational area in the Bratislava Forest Park, located on the southern edge of the Little Carpathians. The Vydrica Stream flows through the valley, feeding several ponds. Forests, bodies of water, and historic structures characterize the area, including the remains of the former mill landscape. The ponds were originally created to power mills and are now also used for fishing.
The area is ideal for walks and excursions into the Little Carpathians. Partizánska lúka features a large children’s playground as well as facilities for soccer, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and pétanque. There is also a fitness trail there. An educational trail leads from Červený most via Železná Studnička toward Kamzík; a dendrological trail provides information about the local tree species.
Boating is available on the fourth pond near Partizánska lúka. The cable car connects Železná Studnička with Kamzík. There are also historic mill buildings in the area; the former eighth mill site, Klepáč, now serves as a place to stop for refreshments.
